Landmarks

The pink is a violation

The building is in a historic district, so paint, signs, awnings and storefront changes on the outside need a Landmarks permit. The pink paint on this store never got one, and neither did its sign.

IssuedOpen violation
May 2023Ceremonia sign and painting the building base, no permit
May 2023"Sing Tao Daily" sign on Lafayette, and security cameras, no permits
2016Murals on the Lafayette facade, and a wall sign, no permits
Oct 2024Elevator: 2023 periodic inspection not filed
Sep 2025Gas piping inspection (Local Law 152)

The owner's application to legalise a painted wall sign was withdrawn in October 2023. Eight violations are open on the building in all. Window graphics on the inside of the glass are the route that needs no permit.
